Hi guys I’m wondering can you help , I have someone who had a hi lift tint who has bleached ends who is the base of a 5 she wasnts to be blonde she was a 9 base colour ( after previously bleaching root to get to 9 base ? But now colour had faded off ends so she went and had a hi lift done , so now she is very warm yellow / orange in back where hair was darker , the problem is she has. And to me looking for me to fix it she also has great length hair extensions.i have suggested a few highlight to break it up but she doesn’t wants more bleach as hair is fragile , but she also doesn’t want to go dark , she said the stylist used an 1121 in Alfaparf with 30 volume , can you give any recommendations? Or should she just take out the extensions ???

Can you not just tone it? So you're eradicating the brassines without lifting the hair any more?

Why would she do that?, was she not happy with the tone?

No she wanted it lighter , than the toner I used

How much lighter does she want it? You could maybe just pick out the bits that need lightening the most and use bleach and 1.5% if the hair is very sensitive already

If she’s naturally a 5, a highlift will be useless as there isn’t enough colour pigment in them to adequately neutralise yellow and orange tones on darker hair. Also, as the hair is fragile, using 30 or 40 vol is hardly a gentle option!

You’re only option for lightening is bleach but stick to a low vol developer (no higher than 20 vol) and use a good quality bleach. Cheap bleaches really aren’t worth the money so always buy good quality plus the matching developer. I like Blondme.
