Hi all

I've been using 12.1 with 40 vol peroxide for some years now but my roots never go as light as I'd like so I usually get some bleach highlights. My hair is snapping off now so I'd like to get away from the bleach. My natural hair is medium brown with red tones. My roots seem to go orangey blonde with the 12.1 but I'm looking for more of a platinum colour. Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong? And also, is there anything I can mix in with the peroxide to nourish my hair? It's really brittle at the moment.

Many thanks xx

IMO Bleach and 10 vol is far less damaging than high lift and 40 vol. I would stick to having foils done proffessionally and invest in some Joico K Pak.
The shampoo, then reconstructor, then conditioner works absolute wonders for bleached hair. For an extra hydration kick use the intense hydrate once weekly
xx

I agree, bleach with a low % peroxide left to lift slowly and then toned is much kinder to the hair.
