Hi Guys,

I have a friend's that has yellow brassy blonde cap highlights already but asked me to make her icy blonde, basically take the yellow out with highlights.
What would the best method be especially with well water.

Thanks guys.

Usually well water contains a higher percentage of natural minerals such as copper and iron that can cause blonde hair to develop a green tinge or be overly brassy looking. If you think there’s a risk of excess mineral deposits in her hair, do an incompatibility test first. If the results show that there are metals present, you’ll need to remove them using a salon strength chelating shampoo or treatment mask such as Malibu C.

What level is she at currently? You will need to lift it to a 10 for platinum but if some of the hair is cap highlighted, it’s going to be impossible not to overlap the bleach. Definitely use a low volume developer to keep the integrity of the hair.

Thank you, she is around level 9.

I had a friend who had well water and she used to buy Tesco value bottled water for hair wash days [emoji23]
