Hi guys, nipped over from the hair site! need some professional skin care advice!

I suffer with very sensitive skin, feels like its going to crack if i don't use a heavy moisturiser, and skin around my eyes can get very sore. I have been using clinique but it doesn't seem to be moisturising enough.

Can you recommend any products as i don't want to go to a makeup counter as i will get talked in to buying anything again.!!

xx

Hi, as well as finding your perfect moisturiser I'd say you need EFA's in your diet and lots of them! Salmon and other oily fish, nuts & seeds, avocado and also supplement with Cod liver oil and Vitamin C... I do nutrition so I would recommend you see a nutritionist or naturopath. You also need to up your water to 2L a day... I have said all of this without actually know you or what you do so I hope you are not offended :)

ps clinique probably won't cut it

Try Eucerin 10% urea lotion from Boots, I get it on prescription for very dry skin

Is this a recent change in your skin? If so has anything in your lifestyle changed recently, diet, health, stress etc

Also have you ever tried a facial oil instead of a moisturiser? They can make a huge difference and are surprising light yet super effective. Clarins do them at about £36 and they will last you months, they also make something called Skin Repair Concentrate which might be good around your eyes - I use it on my son's eczema with great results.

Hi ExtensionQueen1

Just wondering which Clinque moisturiser are you using.

I suffer with dry skin on my face and use Clinques dramatically different moisturiser it's fantastic I've tried lots of other brands and this is the best.

I understand everyone's different but I tried allsorts before finding this it's pricey but last for ages as you don't need much.

I agree with the pervious comment lots of water and oily fish and nuts are also very good.

Good luck.
