Hi all just asking for people's opinions,
I have a client who has naturally dark brown roots (I'd say a 4) she has about an inch of root, then the mid lengths and ends are coloured with the LIVE red box dye.

She is wanting bright red all over so I think I'm going to go with a 6rr in joico lumishine.

Problem is she doesn't want her roots pre lightening, any suggestions? Do you think
Thanks xx

Tell her to stick with the box dye? o_O

I usually point out that they booked a colour with me because they want to experience a professional quality result that meets their expectations, so they either let me determine how to achieve that or they go somewhere else.

Go with your gut instinct! If you think bleach and recolor will be the best method then advise this. If you are looking for an alternative take a look at colorissimo hlvr lifting power is brilliant and it's a beautiful red with a violet tone. Also take a look at affinage High lift reds.
And loreal have high lift reds but I'm not sure if these are safe for on scalp applications, you'll have to check:p
