How long?

Hi guys, my first time posting so go easy ), I completed my nail tech course 10 years ago and started working in a salon, I was still at the early stages of doing nails and I to do a complete career turn around and became a hairdresser. I am working for myself now and have a salon attached to the house and I want to start offering nails to my clients now also. I have done my refresher course and have been practicing on myself and a training hand and I've also done about 6 sets on family and friends. The ones I do on myself are looking good and lasting till time for refill but the ones I do on family and friends don't look great. I think they look good but then when i apply polish o can see they are off balance. I'm just wondering how long everyone was practicing gel nails until they produced a really good set? I was hoping to start charging in December but it's not looking likely at the mo (.

Really just depend on how much you practice don't do gel though it do acrylic but I think for both it all comes down to practice

Thanks for your reply, I'm doing a set every day for about 2 months now, I'm just feeling disheartened I thought I'd be a lot better by now.

Don't be this a lot hard then ppl make look...just focus on the nail structure right don't worry about designs or anything like that a lot of ppl who are starting in this try to learn everything at once take it on step at a time. I advise you to take some class they help a lot and always practice
