I agree: don't undercut your prices just to get people in the door.
Firstly, you undersell yourself and your talent by doing this.
Secondly, you'll find your customers won't like it when you start to raise your prices & they will stop coming.
Thirdly, you'll attract a certain type of customer. With cheap prices you will attract the cheap customers who want stuff for free, and they will NOT be the core of your business or the key to success. Cheap customers usually don't tend to be return clientele b/c they can't afford the luxury of being pampered. It is the returning clientele that you want to aim for. They are the key to success.
