Hiya everyone

I am going to be setting up as a mobile Tantrick spray tanner soon, but I am struggling to decide on how much to charge? I live in Dudley in the West Midlands. Iv'e got a few prices of £12.50 (wouldnt tell me what solution she uses) £13.00 (uses something secrets?) £17.50 (heavenly bodies) and £25.00 (st tropez) these are all in salons though. Ive obviously got to think of petrol and the convenience of going to them but im really stuck for how much to charge as Tantrick is quite an expensive solution too.

Please help!!!

Amy xxx

£12.50 seems very cheap!! You would have to be doing a lot to make enough money at that price. We use st tropez in our salon and charge £25 but most places around here that do Tantrick charge £17-£20.

Hi Amy,
this is a difficult one..look at your competion around you, test the market but remember Tantrick is a premium brand and doesn't need underselling.

What you will find is that as time goes on you will find the correct amount to charge.
Good luck

To me that seems really cheap. If you once start too cheap, you will find it really hard to put your prices up.

Dont worry Amy I will talk you through pricing and marketing in your course xxx

I wouldnt cheapen your product - if someone by me was doing spray tans for 12 quid I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole!

Have you researched your competitors? Is there enough business for you in your area? I agree with the above poster, premium brands do not need underselling :)

I agree with other posts...you are selling too cheap. Just because you are mobile you shouldnt underestimate or undervalue yourself or your products!

Tantrick is a leading brand...start of too cheaply and it will be difficult to raise prices significantly to make a living....I charge £20.

I charge £25 for a full body Tantrick tan (mobile) but quite often do a special offer for £20 during quieter months. I also offer a part body for £15.

The prices you have been quoted do sound on the low side. x

Thank you all for your replies, I thought they sounded very cheap when they told me their price, but she wouldnt tell me the solution either so im assuming it may be a cheap product. I have rang round a few places but most arnt open until tomorrow so shall try again then. I am thinking of charging around £20 as like you have all said I dont want to undercharge as Tantrick is one of the best and solution is quite expensive. As Tonilee says though I have my training on Sunday (cant wait) so hopefully will be able to discuss my little problems, hehe. From what ive found and heard though I seem to be the only one in my area offering Tantrick, I think that's why Iv'e found it hard to set a price. Thanks Amy xxx

Ive had over just had over 100 requests for kits/training since you let this out...he he he only kidding.

Best of luck with your training...speak with Lee in greater detail regarding possible charges you can make given your area.

All the best

Amy

I am the only person in my area that does tantrick but to be honest most of them only found out you can have a spray tan about a year ago  (not kidding) but i am gonna make it my mission to get the whole of the north east using it! hehehe...

xx

Hi Amy

Do NOT undersell your self! I use Tantrick and charge £25.00 per single tan (I am mobile) and £15.00 for party tans provided there are 5 or more people having a tan!

I give discount if there are 2 people at one venue wanting a tan (ie 2 for £40.00) but otherwise, my single price does not alter.

Believe me, when they've tried Tantrick, they will be back!

Good Luck!

Hiya

Try 2 for one
For e.g £15 per tan or 2 for £25(taken within 3months) not share per person.

Why.......it keeps them coming back..why..they have a deal and if they have a free one they will have to come back for the second, THEY WILL REMEMBER HOW GOOD IT WAS AND RE-BOOK plus you get more money guarantee.

GOOD LUCK
