How often should a full set be replaced?

You should have you nails re-balanced every 2/3 weeks for perfect balance!! The 'rings of fire' are concerning though! Re-balances should not involve such heavy abrasives that it effects your antural nails in this way! As you are a client and not a tek (at least that is what I gather from your profile), you may want to ask your tek to ease up with the abrasive in the zone 3 area! HTH's!
yikes - well make sure that the drill doesn't touch your natural nails - MOST IMPORTANT!!! Drills can harm natural nails BIG TIME if not used with great care and experience!! Not saying it is your tek (right nows) fault or maybe the DS before but either way - make sure your nails are protected and ASK QUESTIONS if you are in ANY doubt!!
