I love anyone who rescues animals. They are good, caring, loving, sensitive people. Thank god for people like you xx

Oh my. What an emotional poem... :( it makes me soooo sad.

I have had dogs my whole life. All of them have been rescues. ImageUploadedBySalonGeek1379912842.490287.jpgImageUploadedBySalonGeek1379912861.701577.jpg

These are our most recent additions to our family. My husband has never had "big pets" only ever fish and mice. So when we bought our house we got these two. They are brother and sister. Gizmo is the black one and he is the loveliest of the two (if I can pick favourites out of my fur babies) and snoop is the black and white one. She is full of character and always wants to play.
We have a cat as well, who is also a rescue.

I couldn't have asked for a more loving dog than a staffy. I'm going to take them for a walk down the beach now.

Aww that is very sad.

I must admit to being a "hater" or these kind of dogs.

That was until my sister got a. English bull terrier. He has completely changed my view! He has opened my eyes and I love him. He is the sloppiest thing ever, much more loving that my sister chuawawa (can't spell it).

He is so kind to the kids, and absolutely loves everyone he meets.

She has awful trouble talk g him for walks with other people's opinions, thinking he is going to attack their dogs. She tends to take him where it's quiet which is a shame as he loves to play with other dogs :(

"Image" I only see unemployed with theses dogs and due to the chaotic types that often chose to own these dogs they often end up in the pound, don't believe me visit one, should be called staffie home! If staffies had the same owners as Labradors they would not have the image! I get nervous when my dog meets with a staffie their jaws lock and if their owner looks a bit thick it is a terrible combination. Someone on my Facebook had one and she gave it when she got pregnant, it's a certain type who get rid of their dog so easily and I do not approve of it, a dog is for life!

Their jaws don't lock.

I know 2 very successful salon owners with one of these dogs.

Judge the deed, not the breed!

Im sick if seeing staffies on for sale sites on Facebook for £50 or in some cases free.

They are such a loving protective breed. They are beautiful dogs. My dads staff used to sit under my girls highchair and by her bouncer to protect her.

My MIL has a pitbull cross staffie and he is the most gentle dog you would meet. He loves my little girl, he won't go on a walk unless she is there with him. He wouldn't hurt a fly but because he looks the way he does people cross the street and won't go near him when we are out.

My friend has a staffy and hes horrible. But thats the way she's brought him up not the breed. He bit me, tooth through fingernail, reaction was awww, he's such a loving dog!!!!

Honestly some people need more training than animals!

My sister rescued a staffy cross from the sspca. She is a lovely big soft pet but the looks my sister gets when they are taking her a walk is awful :( the rescue websites are full of staffies it's a shame the chavs seem to have them as status dogs as they are lovely loyal playful dogs when trained properly xox

This is my boxer/staffie cross. He came from a rescue centre and is the most wonderful pet we could have wished for. His name is Jay Jay (he came with the name) and we call him puppy because he is such a baby!

In Victorian times, staffies were known as nursery dogs as they were so good with children. There are lots of pics of Victorian children with their arms around their staffie. What a change to how they are viewed now!

When Barrack Obama got a dog, he paid $1200. Now the dogs go for $2200 because demand is so high for them. Imagine what good he could have done if he had got a rescue dog!!!

Hope the attachment works!

Aww :( so sad.

Im not sure how people can live with an animal & not love it. They bring so much love to your life.

I rescued my dog, 6 years ago. He was 14 months old. Unfortunately he was abused & has the scars to prove it :() he is wary of men, strangers, runners, & other dogs. He was just a little more than skin & bone.

He is my baby though, although he is wary at first once he knows you he is so loving. & a great guard dog as he is confident at home.

Just dont know why anyone would have ever hurt him :( xxImageUploadedBySalonGeek1379941857.184466.jpg

Just wanted to point out that no dog has lock jaw it's a complete myth.Any dog has the capability to hold on to something and not let go.For a dog to have lock jaw it would mean that the dog would have to deliberately dislocate there jaw for it to lock it just does not happen.

I'm not going to comment on anything else you have written as I feel you are reaction seeking AGAIN so I shal leave it at that.

That poem made me very sad. It's so true though poor little things.Irresponsible owners are to blame not the poor dog.

When I walk with my Gary (bullmastiff) people actually cross the road away from him :(.I've had people say those dogs should be banned and why have you got one of them there vicious etc. It's very sad because a dog is what the owner makes of him/she.With the right training and care any dog can be a wonderful and loyal friend.

I think if you are going to get a dog do all your research before hand also calculate roughly how much you pooch is going to cost you ie insurance, food, vetinary care, treats and toys and training. Then calculate how much time you have for your pooch. All these factors play a massive part in weather you should get a dog or a fish.A lot less dogs would end up in these rescue places if people took the time to research.I spent 2 years researching.

Some people just don't have the compassion as us dog lovers do about there dogs.

I understand that some people have no choice but to give up there pets in some circumstances which I'm sure is so hard for them to decide to do that. But other people just don't care or they get bored etc.

I will never understand anyone that abandons there dog or any pet it's heartless.I will never understand how people abuse or mistreat there dog or
pet it's disgusting.I will never never understand why people get a dog or pets if they can't look after that animal.

So very very sad.We will get another pooch and we will be rescuing our next for sure.

We have spent thousands on our pooch hes only 2 that's on food, training, treats, insurance and medical care.He costs more than 3 people a month lol,Do I care no do I begrudge that no way, will I keep doing that yes I will.

I love our pooch he's a big dope with a great big heart and I couldn't imagine life without him.xxx

With permission from my sister here is my niece and nephew and Rocco their doggy. He absolutely adores my nephew and I get loads of photos of them together.

The only thing with Rocco is he thinks he is a lap dog and also likes to sit on the back of the sofa leaning on your shoulders - but he weighs a ton. But we forgive him as he is looks at us soo cutely.
