Hi I'm just popping over from the nail geek side ,for a quick question :) I have got a small patch of white/grey hair that is very stubborn. I always get my hair dyed professionally,at first they used 6% developer and it only covered the white for about a week then I tried 10% but it only lasted about 3 weeks. I've been to three different hairdressers and no one can cover it. What can I do? My hair is dark brown so it's really noticeable.

Please help?

Only 6% covers white hair your hairdresser should know that. She should also know the ways to help cover stubborn grey hair. Good luck x

More likely the original tint wasn't left long enough to develop. Some pro brands need about 50 mins without heat and if not left long enough, the colour will fade very quickly.

Pre softening definitely xx

Hi thanks for everyone's answers :) she used semi permanent dye,is that ok? And should it be the 6 or 9%? I must admit I'm a bit peeved having to do their job for them,I mean millions of women have white hair haha! But then again, maybe my hair is just particularly difficult.

A semi to cover grey and expect it to last more than a week???

Frankly, I'd ditch your hairdresser as it doesn't sound like she knows what she's doing!
