So I booked an appt with hairdresser and asked her if she thought she would be able to get my hair red, as it was dark brown with a few blonde streaks in. She told me she would be able to do this.

So she put a colour stripper on first and it did nothing? Then she left me to go buy one from boots. This seems to work and stripped the colour down to a ginger tone. So I thought the red would take well??

Well.... The roots have gone a bright red the blonde I had in is now pink and the middle of my hair still seems to be the same colour as before.

I'm so upset, I've just rang me fiancé
In tears as she charged me £50
And it looks awful. She then said she would pop back tomorrow to correct it "if" she can - by buying a live colour.

Any advice on what I should do please?? X

Id demand a refund and go elsewhere

I agree with all of the above. SHOCKING!! Don't let her touch your hair with a xxl live it will cause you more harm than good when u want to change from the red. xx

I had my hair dyed red yesterday by my hairdresser.
The stripper did not work, and I now have bright coloured roots with dark ends an the blonde I had in my hair is pink.
Will I better to dye my hair red again and hope it takes as one colour all over? Or do I have my hair bleached then dye it red?

Help me please my hair is that bad I don't want to leave home :( cx

I can't stress enough how much you need to return to a salon for this!

Don't touch it yourself, find a good salon and explain what happened, Or you could go to a local hairdressing college which is cheaper x

I can't afford to go to a salon :( after how much I paid my hairdresser yesterday I'm skint.

I've informed her I want my money back as I am unhappy and have not heard anything. X

Have you spoken to the salon/hairdresser?

Seriously, you need to go back and ask them to look at it and correct if needed.

Bluerinse has offered excellent advice, please follow it.

I have text my hairdresser and said that I am not happy with the end result.

She has text me to say there is not a lot she can really do apart from put another red dye on it and hope that makes it all one colour.

Is the hairdresser mobile? Only reason I'm asking is that you text saying your not happy!

Perhaps it would have been friendlier to have phoned. Your hairdresser needs to see why the colour went wrong and if she is offering to put it right then think you should go back.

As a salon owner we do not manage our business via text message but I know some mobile hairdressers may do. I just feel It's very impersonal. Only my opinion though.

Yes mobile hairdresser. I did ring her but she never answers calls.
So thought my only option was to text her.
She left my house knowing the roots were one colour the ends another and the blonde pink.
The reason I am so annoyed is she said half way through doing my hair maybe I should have used bleach first.
I did asked her when booking appt if she would be able to get my hair red with it being dark to start off with and she said yes, she had been doing my hair for about 7 years so she knew the colour everything there was to know about my hair.
I just feel very let down I paid a lot of money and now my hair looks awful.

Thank you for all advice given :)

Its gone pink because it was pre-lightened to yellow. Do not bleach it further, it will make it worse. You need to visit a good salon or college as there are ways of sorting this out quite easily, but only salons have access to the type of colours which will do it.
Please dont be tempted to try and do it yourself, you will make it worse.
