Hey guys wondering how you all make your own stick tips for micro ring?

I ususally buy mini strands or stick tip hair, but have to make my own stick tips when i buy hair on the weft, especially highlighted wefts.

I started off with the glue pot, but found that it didnt melt the keratin enough and was an absolute mess, couldnt saturate the hair at the tip properly and it was a poor bond.

then i moved onto using a old pair of straightenens, put little bits of keratin grain on the straightener and melted it down then clamped straightener shut and rolled with silicon finger pad. this worked better but obviously had to coat a few times to ensure saturation.

I have seen videos of youtube of those making stick tips with a mixture of candle wax and keratin, over a candle this looked very labourious.

I think im going to try making stick tips with a glue gun? Any thoughts on any other method or what you guys do?

Hi, I make my own...make sure you wash the weft thoroughly first then you'll need keratin granules or chips, melt a couple on a pair of hair straighteners (old ones) or heat plates. Pull the tip of the hair through and roll into a stick tip! Simple as that! I've seen videos on YouTube as well so that may help x

Or I buy nail tips and melt them down then roll them!
