Hi everyone, I just wanted to get an opinion on how much to tip my hairdresser for a men's haircut?

I get charged $25 for my haircut and usually tip the hair dresser between $5 and $10 but don't tip the girl who washes my hair. Am I supposed to tip them both or does my hairdresser take care of that from what I give her? :Scared:

I wouldn't have thought the hairdresser would give anything to the girl who washes your hair unless you state a certain amount you want to give to them. If you want to tip the person who washes your hair either give the money to them personally or ask the stylist to give a part of the tip.

As a junior id wash 4 heads of hair every half hour plus other tasks too so it was really nice when I'd get a tip too and as I got paid a lot less it helped!

The person who washes your hair probably doesn't get part of the tip from the stylist, so yes if you want to tip them do it separately, im in the uk so don't get that much in tips, I would say 50% of my clients tip but small amounts like 1-2 pounds for say a service that cost anything between 30 and 80 pounds :)
