How to wash sanitisable nail files?

How do you wash them? Just so that there would be no oil residue left on then etc. Don't want any interfearence with longevity of my sets of nails x

At my school we were taught to scrub them with soap and water using our nail brush then spray them with alcohol and let them air-dry on paper towels

I second the above I spray with hospital grade sterilizer (like barbicide)
