Hi , Can anyone recommend which Gel Polish I should go for as I am a newbie and want to get more practice .
Also any ideas on how I should advertise to get a few clients . ? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Gel polish is quite a personal thing to be honest as well as based on type of training you've had. I'd suggest researching as much as you can about what is available to you. I.e what your local wholesalers stock in store, what you can get delivered next day, look at your budget and remember to Inc tax on the bottle prices. Search the brand name on here and on google and see the threads on any issues etc that may arise. Also think if there is a Usp you want to have. Like organic, vegan etc. I personally went with ibd just gel as it's made with pigment and gel rather than a mix of lacquer and gel, plus it was within my budget range to get a good selection of colours. But I know a lot of people on here use OPI, gelish and cnd shellac. Only thing I would say is to make sure you only use professional only available products. That way you know not only you're getting the real deal, you are able to get support from the manufacturer and supplier and you're providing something that your clients can't get themselves.

I advertise on Facebook and have an instagram account. Because I only work a few evenings I couldn't justify spending loads on getting a website and paying for a domain so only using social media for now. I've had a good few friends and family book in to use me but also had some people who have just found me fb site and booked in too. I've just done a paid advertisement with Facebook which has given me 1 new page like per day but as yet I've to see a new booking come through. But I only budgeted £12 for a week of ads.

I've only been running since mid Feb by the way!

I work at the salon, they use OPI, Gelish and IBD gel polishes. The clients are happy and it lasts well 2+ weeks.
