THREE CANCELLATIONS IN TWO DAYS!!!

Both, less then 3hours before im due to do their hair!

Why do people feel the need to let me down at such short notice!

Ive managed to fill one slot, but the other two are still spare!

I could scream at them when they text me last minute! Instead, i'm polite in my reply.

Just wondering what you all say when you have cancellations? One of the ladies who cancelled this is the second time.

Thanks Geeks! :)

I take it on the chin really!
I'd rather they rang and gave 3 hours notice than be a no show which is worse!!! I always thank them for calling in advance to cancel!
I guess for you it's a pit fall of being mobile :(

I tell people that there is a 50% cancellation charge if they don't let me know at least 24 hours in advance. Most people now give me notice. At least I then have a chance to fill the slot. Have to admit I've never charged the 50% because the few people who have cancelled last minute have been regular regulars who've never let me down and it was something unavoidable.

Hi :)

Thanks for the reply..

Just a quick question, if that situation was ever to arise, and you did have a cancellation that wasnt from a regular, how would you go about actually charging them a 50% cancellation fee?

I know you would have their address and contact details, but couldnt they just ignore you??

(I hope im not sounding rude! I just read that last sentence back and to me I sound rude, so no offence intended.)

Thank you :)

I have to admit I doubt you'd actually get the £ but the idea is it would scare them into either not cancelling or giving 24hr + notice....hopefully!

I recently implemented this cancellation policy and have sicne only had one not give me this notice and she reschduled I advised her since she cancelled first without notice could I be cheeky and ask for a deposit and she dropped it off no Qs asked. She then cancelled, but i had £25 from her so i just refilled the slot :) It kinda worked in that sense?

Em xx

Thank you so much for the advice!

I will be implementing this now when ever anyone books an appointment.

I like the idea of the scare tactic haha!

:)

Have a good evening! And thanks again

Lol you didn't sound rude at all! As Em says, I probably wouldn't get the money I just like to scare my clients:green:.

Hope it works for you,
