I have a client which has very broken pourus hair and it is very silver/ashy. She came in with a picture of an ash blonde bob with a few darker low lights going through so I just put some warmer lowlights in she went out and said she loved it then a day later she hates it and said she wants to lose the ash which she didn’t mention when we did the consultation, has anyone got any advice how to lose the ash and have any advise if I should give her her money back or do the next treatment for free?
Thank you in advance

Presumably, it’s porous because she’s been bleaching/colouring it more than once...!

Nope, No free service or refund is warranted.

In this case the CLIENT has simply changed her mind. It happens a lot. They see a picture of a model/TV personality and think, I’d like to look like that person. They ask for a particular cut/colour etc. and then they decide afterwards that maybe that colour doesn’t actually suit them.
Clients have to take some responsibility for their decisions, otherwise, if you do it for free, they’ll change their mind again another time.

You should only offer a refund or free re-do if you know that YOU made a mistake.

Thank you for your help

Deep cleansing shampoo leave it on for the full 5 minutes and repeat if necessary, if the hair is extremely porous this will be enough to pull out the toner. You may lose the lowlights you put in as you will with any other method. I also 100% agree with @Haircutz no free re-do. Book her in when it's convenient. Don't break your back to do it. It's extremely rare that the client will appreciate it anyway. I would definitely charge.
