i want rid of the red!!

I really really want red out my hair (wella 66/45 col touch).

Iv had it for about 2 years but only ever really need to do the regrowth as it never fades that much, maybe because im a natural redhead. I want to get it to a nice (cheryl cole'ish) brown.....so...... was thinking of maybe a bleach bath then putting a 6.1 over it?

Iv never removed red before so just thinking this might be the best way??

build up of colour touch is a NIGHTMARE to get out of hair espically reds and darker tones! i actully think a buildup like this will just as difficult as taking out koleston perfect. espically in 66/45. its a really intense colour touch, and in my experience the most stubborn to remove! but it could be worse, you could be going ash blonde lol!:lol:

cheryl cole is constantly changing her bruntte locks, could you specify and tell me instead what sort of colour you want t go by using percific number depth and tone? e.g 5/1 8/4 etc.

at the moment im an ashen dark chocolate. and its a truly beautiful colour. most technicians turn away from ash darks because they think it looks carky, however, i dissagree!! if your client/yourself suit ashen tones more than warm than go for ashen. like myself, i am naturally a 5/1-4/1 and warm colours do not suit me at all. go with whether your naturally warm or cold on this one hunny.

but in my opinion, a bleach bath and 6/1 will not be enough no matter how warm brown u want to be. and another point is that ur midlengths and ends will be a completly different tone to your roots. you will get a bar.

Well to update i bleached the hair up with bleach and 4% just enough to take out the depth of the red, it lifted to a dark pink. I then used half 7/1 and half 5/1 color touch and the result was beautiful! I turned out like 6.23 in LOreal Richesse it was lovely
