I use illumina 8/69 & a smidge of 7/81 with pastel developer on damp hair (previous full head bleach and toned to platinum) and the result is lovely but it’s fading SO fast, even after repeat applications. Considering trying it with 6% on dry hair?? Would this last better?

Illumina is lovely and lasts well in my experience so I’m guessing that perhaps the hair is too porous from the previous bleach service?

When you say repeat applications, are you re-doing it every time you re-do the roots?

Yeah I wondered this but it’s only the roots/midlenghts it’s being applied to which don’t feel damaged but that could be what it is.
It’s fading literally almost right out after a few weeks so I’ve re applied a few times now and the same is happening
Would it be worth trying with 6% do you think?

Have you checked what hair care routine your client is using?
Shampoos/hot irons etc?

Using 6% will open the cuticle more, which will lift the hair, exposing more warmth and in turn making the hair more porous.
Have you thought about colour touch? With 1.9%, so the cuticle is opening so much each time you colour it?
