I bought a new acrylic brush which I absolutely love and we all know there.not cheap, its a lidded glittery looking one with a plastic handle, I used it once , cleaned it and put the lid on stood upside down as I was trained to do , the next time I came to use it all tht glossy shiny had came off the handle.making it rough to touch and the logo had come off it , now you'd think if it was because of the lid the lid would be none damaging as its designed to be used and you'd also think that if it was any acrylic products it wouldnt be effected by it, what should I do I know they will probably say I havent looked after it but I have, I had my first brush from.college for a year and a half and we wasn't exactly delecate users of. Them throughout training xx

I would guess whatever you've used to clean the brush has dripped down the handle and dissolved it slightly. You need to wipe it off on a lint free wipe and let it dry flat. Not a lot you can do about this one unfortunately :-(

Is it the NSi one?! Mine does exactly the same - no matter how much I look after it each and everyone has done the same.

I use a nsi brush for acrylic too and the logo does come off , but i just give it a wipe with santatiser and the cloudiness does come off it (still no logo though :D )

Come to think of it , my CND gel brush is the same :)

Yep, the NSI Royal Precision handle does go cloudy and rough for some reason... It's a shame because the clear glitter is lovely.

I just used to wipe my brush handle with whatever I had to hand (usually dsolve or dsperse believe it or not, it never damaged the it at all) and it goes clear again, but that logo does not stay on for long.

Xxx

Hi there when ever i buy a new l&p brush with a plastic handle [ i love nsi and young nail brushes] I apply a gel uv top coat to the plastic part only and place under the u v lamp .
It gives it beautiful shiny coat never to melt to your hands again:)

Good idea with the uv top coat ill try that one and yeah its the NSI Clear glitter handle one its a shame cause I've used it twice and it looks like I've had it for 10 years haha :(

when you say upsideown do you mean tip up or tip down ?

I keep mine flat , but I know tip up would not be good as monomer will end up seeping back the way towords the handle and ferrule probably eventually leading to contamination.

keeping it tip down isn't always grate as if it slips the flags of the brush will bend , they are very easy to bend and very hard to flatten back out lol I don't know how wild dears keep theres straight! lol

anyway maybe give NSI a call and let them know , if lots of people have that problem with that brush then if everyone tells them they will be able to work on fixing the issue :)

Tip down and yeah.good point.and I think.I.shall.do so.as the.reason.I.got.a.new brush.is.because my.old one.was looking.scraggly.and old and unprofessional but so does.my new.one. xx
