Not sure if this should be on Hair or Business geek, but here we go ...

Does anyone offer IHM in their hairdressing salons? How do you offer it (before treatments, as a stand alone treatment, etc) and how much do you charge?

Thanks :)

I offer this in my salon. I use it as a stand alone treatment. Although i have a scalp massage included in my deep condition. Price vary in my area ranging from £4-£45, i only do mine for 10 mins thought, but i know ppl that do it longer! xoxo

Hi there, as IHM usually involves the use of oils.. I would imagine clients wouldnt want oils in their hair after their hairdressing appointment....

I have my hair cut in a salon that offers a head massage when they apply the conditioner and thats really nice... not sure if thats helpful..

Thanks Jack.

IHM doesn't necessairly involve oils so you can do it as a stand-alone treatment. We ask the client to choose the oil that they like the smell of, put a couple of drops on the palms and warm up so that it's a subtle smell rather than an oil slick. Any oil will be 'used up' on the shoulders but the aroma stays on the hands for the head and face bits :)
