Hi everyone, I own a hair salon. I am soon hopefully going to be adding beauty to my business soon. I am trying to get a rough idea of how much things costs by looking online, I am just wondering is all wax the same? I looked at a sienna x starter kit and it was like £xxx then I've seen a lotus starter kit for £xxx.

What wax would you recommend?

No, it definitely isn’t all the same. We use Kim Lawless and Perron Rigot. Kim’s is easiest to use, leaves the least residue and is least painful. Then we have Perron Rigot hypoallergenic for people who are sensitive.

I truly believe you get what you pay for. Those are higher end, but for us, it’s worth it for the better customer experience.

We bought the Sienna X starter kit for £xxx. It includes everything you need plus 2 day training course which covered everything (apart from intimate waxing), I don't think the lotus kit includes training so you would need to purchase that separately.
Sienna X wax is luxury so its more of a pleasant and less painful experience for the client too. Hope this helps :)

A gentle reminder please to all that we do not post trade prices on this site, that includes kits which contain products, for obvious reasons ;)

Thanks.

No, there is a huge difference between waxes and you cant just go by price. Look for a new generation / polymer based wax as they are most efficient in hair removal, ease of use and most comfortable for clients. There is a few brands including flirties, Perron Rigot etc. If you are already trained you can order a sample pack or alternatively have a chat with the companies to find out about the training as you can gain the most if you train in the brand to learn how to best use the products.
