Is becoming a medical nail tech worth it?

I saw a course for certification as a medical nail tech. Here's a link to the course. I want to work with the elderly when I get my first nail job. Do I need to get the extra certification as a medical nail tech to do that? I don't really have enough money to pay for the course right now. Is it worth it? What's the difference between a medical nail tech and a regular one?
