Hi guys,

Me & my partner run a glitter company and we want to supply the ultra fine holographic unicorn powder as it is called that has become extremely popular. We have looked into it but it seems to be a minefield as to whether it is actually safe or not as most of it comes from China. The original stuff is called "spectraflair" and it is meant for use as car paint or industrial uses as it has a high percentage of magnesium fluoride in it,65% to be exact, and safe levels for human use is 1%...which is why it is supposed to be sold in suspension base and not sold as a powder, and the suspension base is supposed to be mixed at a 1% consistency, whereas we do want to sell it in powder form as the effect is much better. Would anyone be able to tell us if there is a 100% safe alternative out there to what we have actually found out??

Many thanks for any help.

For use on nails the product will have to meet the requirements to be classed as 'cosmetic grade'. What that means for your product I don't know but I imagine it would have something to do with EU law. Good luck!
