Is Shellac supposed to be sticky on the top?

I can't comment on S2's service as I use the Fingertips Centre in Edinburgh.

what I can comment on is the research I completed before purchasing Shellac!

1) I knew what Shellac was
2) I knew how it was applied
3) I knew what was in the kits
4) I knew roughly how much it was going to cost me
5) I knew everything I would need to complete a full service to my client
6) I knew how much to charge
7) I knew what colours were available
8) I knew what lamp I needed
9) I knew when I could order it

I could go on and on and on about what I knew before it was launched!!!

How did I find this out????????

I researched, asked questions, googled, called and emailed the distributors!

All of this prior to launch day!

Why did I know all this?

Because I took the time to find the information for myself I don't expect to be spoonfed!!!!!

so bring on the snidey or downright nasty comments for me daring to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY!!!!

and before it is ASSumed I have too much time on my hands, I run a practically fully booked salon on my own (50 hours + a week), run a house with 2 kids, 2 dogs, and loads of after school activities.

so NO I am not Superwoman! Just a therapist who does what she needs to do to research my products and my market!

Rant over!!!!

p.s until Shellac I used Fingertips rarely as I do not offer L & P or Brisa, so you can bet your bottom dollar my opinions are completely UNBIASED!
Well said!
The amount of people trying to cut cornes and not do their own research and asking the same questions that have already been answered is doing my head in..

Well, I do use S2...regularly, and cannot fault the customer service. In fact, as someone who demands good service at all times, I have to say that one the reasons I do use them, is because of their exemplarary attitude to customer services.

I can honestly say that the times I've identified my call as the first about a product, all the information I've needed has been volunteered up quite freely, but Shellac, I believe, has been so successful so far, that many salons are already on 2nd or subsequent orders, so to go through a step-by-step each time, might be construed as some, as teaching grandmother to suck eggs (I do rather hate that phrase - but it works in this instance!)

So maybe the key is just identifying that you are new to a product and the quick question of "is there anything else you can advise that I need", would be the better idea.

After all, if you go into Tesco for a loaf of bread, the checkout assistance doesn't tend to tell you that you need butter, now do they? That might be just a tad condescending!!!

I've never bought a product without finding out exactly what it is, how it works, how much it costs and if I need training with it. As has already been said we all need to take personal responsibility for our business and product decisions.

As it happens there are alternatives to D-Sperse if needed, NAS from OPI is Isopropol Alcohol so will remove the dispersion layer without breaking down Shellac.

I have used the ezflow version for removing the tacky layer. It works fine, but I will still be getting the cnd one when it's back in stock.
