Joico blue on bleached blonde hair?

Hi all
Just a quick one. I have a client coming in, il be lifting her base 6 hair at the roots. Then she wants crazy colour blues. I'm thinking this will go green unless pre pig first? She wants a root fade from blue to purple. Any advice? Thank you xx

Most of the blue and green direct dyes fade out green. Crazy colour blues and purples always fade teal green and will wash out very quickly. They’re now probably some of the worst direct dyes since they were taken over and re-launched a few years ago.
Joico direct dyes are pretty good as are a few of the other higher end colour brands.
Otherwise, I recommend something like Manic Panic or if she’s likely to want something very long lasting then Splat will stain the hair and last for a few weeks, but only use this if she’s not going to want to go back blonde.

The other option is an oxidised tint but that won’t be as vivid.
