Joico red booster?

Hi I have a new client who’s come to me from a lady who has stopped hairdressing all together. Her hairdresser told her she used the colour 3rr in joico lumishine and a red booster? I’m not familiar with joico as I don’t use it. I have ordered her colour in the 3rr but I can’t seem to find a red booster?

Can anyone help?

Sorry, I can’t advise on Joico boosters as I’ve never used them. Don’t Joico only sell to Salons?

I think it’s risky using someone else’s formula if you’re not experienced in that particular colour line.
You can’t be certain the info. provided is accurate and you risk it going wrong and then having the client blame you.
It’s always better to use products that you’re familiar with, so you can be confident of the outcome.

In this instance, it’s especially important that you do a patch test and consider doing a strand test first to ensure it comes out as expected.

With clients like this, I use the consultation as an opportunity to sell them my preferred colour line stressing the shine/longevity etc.
That way I’m not wasting money buying odd tubes and bottles of developer that might not get used.

I think she’s talking about the red intensifier INRR, 3rr and inrr comes out more of a purple red colour x
