Hi guys, I hope you can help me.

For the past two months or so my acne/spots have just been hormornal and clearing a week after my period, until a week before my period begins.

I have recently had spinal surgery (just over a week ago) I had my whole coccyx removed and it's a slow recovery.
I have been on strong tablet pain killers and noticed my skin is breaking out all over, could this be due to the medication?

I have also started taking (two weeks before surgery) Echinacea, Zinc and Selenium. All of which help the immune system and help to stop getting colds. I just to get colds four/five times maybe more a year and knew my immune system has always been down for health reasons. Since taking these I haven't been getting colds.
I have also started taking a Skin Nutrition tablet to see if this helps my hormornal acne.

I am currently using La Roche Posay Duo, which doesn't seem to be helping my spots and thinking to switching to LRP Effaclar K to see if this helps more? I also use a BHA toner. I have also tried Dermologica Overnight Clearing Gel, to not much help.

Do you think it is caused with the pain killers medication I am using?
Is there a product(s) I can use that works on fighting spots fast?

Thank you

With any medical questions you really need to ask your doctor.

Without any doubt medication can have a huge effect on your skin.

I would look, too, at your diet and water intake. Keep a food diet; you may find that you crave carbs/ refined sugar pre- menstrually... this could affect your skin.

The other bit of advice I would give is to treat your skin gently; it can be tempting to "attack" troublesome skin, but that can cause a re-bound.

Hope all goes well with you x
