One of my friends daughters is 8 next Saturday and they are having a sleepover at her house (5 girls) and she has asked what I could do for them and how much...

I have thought about a little file and buff, then a varnish with a daisy nail art of something similarly girlie....

But how much to charge....does £20 seem to steep?

I have based this on £4 per person as I realise they will have tiny weeny nails and not much work involved more my time....

Any other suggestions gladly taken - I dont think goodie bags are required but if so where can I get little pinkes from I know OPI do them in sets but I have never seen them anywhere elese....

Have you thought about a hourly rate. i know its only 8 kids but you could be the for a while.

Hi Vicky - well I thought about this and I think I will be there no longer than 1& 1/2 hours so I think £20 is fair enough thats the same time for a rebalance and same costs...does that make sence!!

i charge £25 to £20 per hour on kiddies parties but i do more bodyart. 8 kids would take me 2 hours in which i would charge £40 for the 2 hours. £20 is very fare and i bet youl really injoy doing it...!! have fun with all the little ladies

Nail Order sell Itzy Bitzy polishes.. You have to buy in set of three (of all the same colour), and I think it's £3.15 a set pre-VAT? They sell them online though they don't have the colours up - I have a copy of the chart (it's actual blobs of varnish) that I could scan and send, or if you ring them they'll send you a copy.
I guess at least that way they'd all have the same colour and wouldn't argue over them, but at about £1.30 (ish?) inc VAT it could add up to an expensive party bag.

I think they're the only little sized ones other than the OPI ones I've seen. It may work out cheaper to see what little polishes Superdrug or something have in? Ours is full of discontinued stock in one corner and they also have their last year's xmas sets on big discount so you may find cheap nail polish that way. Not sure if you want to 'compromise' a professional image, though not sure if matters with children?
Hope you (and they!) have a good time!

Thanks for this Lol I will check out my nail order catalogue...

Hello, my friend's little girl of 10 had a 'beauty' party for her birthday. She, and her friends, got to have mini-manicures and then they chose to either have body art or nail art (1 each). They all loved it and the nail tech got 2 other parties booked from it!!!!

I don't think your price is too high as she charged £35 and my friend quite willingly paid it. So go ahead, don't worry and have fun...
