Hey everyone

Ive recently started seeing LED/UV nail lamps.

Can someone explain how these work please?
Is it a lamp that'll cure both LED and UV gels in the same lamp? How does the lamp 'know' weather it'll cure a UV or LED curable gel?

I currently have 1 mini Gellux LED lamp and 1 UV lamp and its annoying carrying them both around.

I have read a few reviews and read on here about the SUN lamps, are they any good? Or can someone recommend one

Thankyou xx

It is confusing isn't it? LED/UV lamps have two types of LED's. Each type produces light in a different wavelength, 405 nanameters or 365 nanometers. The 365nm LED's cure the older gels, while the 405nm LED's cure gel polishes and new LED/UV sculpting gels.

So using a LED/UV lamp - sometimes called a hybrid UV lamp or a dual band / dual wavelength UV lamp, means it can cure both UV and LED gels.

But, you still need to buy the LED/UV lamp recommended by your gel and gel polish supplier, otherwise you run the risk of under curing, and producing under cured gel dust which is one of the main cause of allergies today.

The link above explains this in more detail.
