I use koleston and always have done for 30 + years and have always had good coverage on white and resistant hair just by adding half a base just lately this is just not working.

I have gone on to the double bases and mix tones but don’t like the fact that if it even slightly touches the previously coloured hair, it bands. I understand the fact that it’s for resistant hair only etc but it’s a pain in the a**e to use.

Is there another colour house that uses the same numbering system but has colour for resistant hair ???

I had the same problem with the double bases
I now use ID and although they have a double base range you can also use
2 part tint to 1 part 9%

I’ll look at that. What do you mean about the 2 part tint and 1 part peroxide ?

60g tint to 30g 9% or however much you use , double the tint to peroxide

You could do a lot worse than look at the Affinage range..... and they are 100ml tubes, 3% for gray coverage.
