So I used a product called got2b beach babe lightening spray to get my color lighter and closer to my natural (ie. light brown). But now after using it 4-5 times I read somewhere that you can't color your hair if you've used these sprays. But I really have to get my hair colored soon. I'm no expert but I heard it's the chemicals that cause this. If you know anything please tell. I don't want ruin my hair.

The list of ingredients:
Aqua, hydrogen peroxide, etidronic acid, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, ammonium hydroxide, panthenol, PVP, amodimethicone, 2,6-dicarboxypyridine, argania spinosa kernel oil, parfum, disodium pyrophosphate, cetrimonium chloride, cyclomethicone, trideceth-12, butylphenyl methylpropional, alpha-iso methyl ionone, coumarin

Thank you very much!

Hi Snowflake,

I'm not familiar with the product you have used but if it's anything like the older "lightening sprays" then I'm afraid it's bad news.

These products can cause any number of adverse reactions when other colours are applied and the majority of these reactions involve your hair snapping off.

The only helpful advice i can offer is to go to a professional salon and tell the stylist every detail about your hairs history. (Depending on length this can be several years back).

Following this they will hopefully take a strand test and see if there is a possibility of carrying out a colour service for you.

Not great news I know but better to be safe than have no hair left!
