Hello all!
I’m new to this website!
I’m a fully qualified level 2 and 3 hairdresser. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with lilac/ purple semi permanent such as crazy colour or manic panic? All the lilacs I have used tend to fade into a blue or green, has anyone used a brand that does not do this? I am looking for a soft, pastel lilac.
Many thanks

That’s what Lilac colour is composed of. It’s the blue tones in the lilac colour that combine with the yellow to make green.
You’d need to use a more pinky lavender to minimise the blue fade off. At least with Direct Dyes, you can mix them to make the colour you want.

There are two brands that I know of that fade true to tone. The one is framesi bold which when applied to the right base will last ages! I'd highly recommend it.
The other is A. S. P colour dynamiques but you may need to dilute them as they're quite pigmented.
