Hi
I have a client who has been colouring her hair with live red for a year she has short cropped hair
She wants in blonde like Kate garroway had on daybreAk this morning ;0/

My instincts tell me it ain't gonna happen in one hit which she's not happy for as does not want orange / ginge tinge hair
I feel like bleach bathing hair to get as much red out and then putting a blonde tint on top? She has 6 weeks root regrowth should I bleach the root first then bleach bath ends , dry off then put tint on? Can anyone recommend a good tint to use over top of bleach bathed hair ? Will that even work!?
Any tips or advise would be hugely welcomed
Thanks geeks xxxx

Please dont touch it, it will go pink and not shift. I promise you.

thanks for the warning im gonna do a test peice in front of her to show her!
what do u suggest, she wants a change of colour so best to advise brown then, have regular trims get the live out and then bleach i guess, luckily for her, her hair is short!!
i hate live with a passion lol!!!!

I think that is the best plan. That live stuff is dreadful to remove.

this is perfect example of why we hate home dye jobs isn't it??

yeah i would do same.. brown with highlights (well to whatever you can lift and tone them too)
its gonna be a looooong slow process, make sure you make that clear...
clients can be very impatient, make sure she knows it cannot be done in one go.. 0r even 3 goes lol xxx

Oh my god this xxl is an absolute nightmare to sort, I had a client about 2 weeks ago that wanted her colour change, I took one look at it and knew it was the dreaded xxl. It should be banned and why isn't there a Hairdressing governing body to stop this crap from being sold to young people under the age of 16 as I'm prodomantly seeing more girls between 12 and 16 with this stuff in there. None of them do skin tests nor read mfi. The government really need to take a stance on shop colour.
