Make up courses in Leeds

Hi guys!

I have always loved make up, whether it's doing my own or my friends and I have wanted to do a make up course for some time. I am now in a position to do so, so I am looking for some help. I want to do a course in Leeds (or nearby), but I want to make sure it's a decent course before parting with any cash.

Has anyone got any experience of doing a make up course in Leeds? And be able to recommend any?

It depends on what you want from a course.

If you just want to improve your skills for yourself, family and friends then a stand alone make-up course run by one of the beauty wholesalers might be suitable.

If you want to work as a Makeup Artist, then ideally, you should be looking at one of the bigger specialist schools leading to a formal qualification.

Alternatively, you could consider doing a Beauty based NVQ that includes make-up.

If you want to charge for your services, you will need to do an accredited course and obtain the appropriate insurance. Beware, that some accredited courses will not provide a nationally recognised qualification so carefully research your options before parting with your cash.
