I think that would depend on what you comfortable using .
If you are a mua you could qualify for pro discounts at different brands.
I use Mac myself and added few other lines from ranges I have used and like myself.
There quite a lot of very good threads on salon geek about this exact topic if you use the search tool on this site and just has a scroll and see what others have said.
It's completely a personal choice so unless you not using rubbish or something which can be bad for the skin I think it's upto you what you want to use.
