Hi everyone

So i've just enrolled on a photographic make up level 2 course - due to start next month and I've got a long list of things to buy! What brands would you advise are the most cost-effective? E.g. - I need eyeshadow / lipstick palettes, foundations of various shades, eye pencils... I don't want to go and buy a cheap stuff thinking i'm saving money and it be really rubbish, but at the same time i've not got mega bucks.

Join up to mac pro student, you'll get a huge discount on their products. I think student membership is £6 for 6 months. You have to provide proof that you are enrolled on a course though.

Does your course require you to have make up to work with before you start? Or do they provide makeup while you're there? It's hard to know what you like without having a chance to use it properly.

Is it a college course? How long is the course?

Thanks for your reply

It's a college course - starts next month, one evening (7-9.30pm) for 20 weeks. I'm required to have make up and some tools.

How do you go about becoming a MAC pro then, and where would I buy the products from?? I do love MAC make up, but it is expensive (albeit worth it) - so if there's a good discount available, then all the better. I can provide proof of my enrolment on the course.

Google mac pro you'll find the link to the application form :) it'll give you all the details on there. I'm a pro member I get 40% discount, nit sure if the student discount is the same x

Student discount isn't the same BUT they do sell kits only to students!! Worth a look as they are pretty good :)
