Making own stick tips

This may sound silly but if you but cuticle correct hair on a weft, and cut it off the weft to make your own pre bonds/stick tip, does this then mean that cuticles are messed up and therefor not cuticle correct because you are messing up the cuticles from all being in the right direction?

cuticle corrected hair has had the cuticles removed so there would be no cuticles for you to mess up!! I'd stay clear of this hair as it can look very shoddy in my experience after a few weeks. however, would be interested to hear how you get on with it.
