A friend of mine has had microloop extensions done she has had them in since nov, she's had a top up done by someone different a few weeks ago, im thinking about starting microloops but i have a concern, the roots of her own hair are now matted, is this normal ? if not why would this be caused? She is a nail technition and wears her up everyday she works, any ideas?

Has she been brushing through the roots? I had mine and kept them Matt free by using one of those paddle brushes with lots of short spikes but really soft bristles. A bit like a broom.

No she doesnt brush the roots, she doesnt have a proper extension brush tho, do u think this is the problem?

Yes this will be part of the problem, extension brushes are so that you can brush from the root down withiut pulling on the bond. She should of been given full aftercare from whoever fitted the extensions - is sge is unsure she will be able to find an aftercare guide online just google it x

Tell her to get a Tangle Teezer, best thing in the world for extensions. I give a free on to all my full head clients x
