Hi Geeks, I am posting in the consumer section as I do not have any experience with this treatment at all but am thinking about adding it to my list of treatments, especially since I am in the process of being trained up in Distribution of Crystals and Oxygen therapy products etc. Firstly it will add another income stream and secondly I dread going in to a salon trying to supply these products if I have no idea of what they are supposed to do. LOL

I have just spoken to Richard at Skinbase but I keep coming across the Diamond Micro dermabrasion treatments/machines. How many of you use the Diamond one and how difficult is it to sterilize when you are mobile. Do you just pop the used diamond tip in a container to sterilize when back home or do you carry the sterilizing gear along.

Also how popular is MD as a treatment, how quickly did you build up a decent client base and how long before it actually pays for itself?

Would you guys and girls say it is worth adding to my list of treatments ? I feel the need for a change and would happily let nails take a back seat for a while, I know tanning will slow down soon which means I will be relying on Distribution income and hopefully offering MD treatments, early next year I will hopefully be distributing a well known Spray tan Solution as well as offering training, but in the short term a new treatment might help increase my income untill all the other plans come together. I may be able to purchase a machine and use my own crystals but tbh Skinbase seems to be the best way for me to get to know more about the indstry, try it out for a few months and then decide who, where and what.

So my questions are really, is it worth doing, who would be best and is the Diamond one really worth looking at
Any advice would be welcome

What a shame no-one came over and saw my post, anyway I decided to go with Skinbase due to the good feedback from other posts after searching. My training day is the 23rd of October Yaaay. I am going to take the PAYG offer at least I know I will not be laying out a huge amount at the start and build up some experience and get a lot of practice leading up to Christmas. I am really looking forward to it and hope I made the right decision. I wonder if I should get a Diamond treatment done to see or feel the difference. I am not sure what else I could do to make a good comparison. Any ideas? I want to choose the best for me but dont know anyone that does these treatments so cant ask, only you lovely Geeks but have not had any replies yet so fingers crossed someon will come along to offer some advice. Maybe I should have put this on the Skin Geek?

Hi there,

I've just started with skin base and have been very pleased - the marketing pack is great, and the training manual very informative. My training rep was very knowledgable and offered great advice, and they follow up on how you are getting on.. Overall, with no investment on the pay as you go it's a great treatment to offer! :)

Thanks for the reply SarahAesthetic. I enjoyed the trainig as well, the only problem was that the trainer was a fellow countryman ( woman) and we spent ages yakking about life before the UK. I had a lot of problems with bad signal reception though and decided to return the machine. I am mobile and it was getting embarrassing having to cart it all over the clients house looking for a signal. On the last day i found out that I could have called up for an override code but do wish that I had been informed of this option earlier. Anyway, I have been told that if I wish to take the offer at a later date I am more than welcome so hopefully when my salon opens I can get a booster and problem solved. Hope you are still happy with the treatment
