Hi
I have ordered some mineral foundation to try and wanted to know if anyone uses a brush thats not kabuki (sp) or has used a brush bought elsewhere other than the supplier of the foundation?
I wondered if a wholesalers may have what Im looking for? But not sure what I would be looking to buy as Im not that clued up on make up brushes.
Apologies if there is althread already but I did do a search and couldnt find anything about the brushes. Thanks

I have a kabuki brush but it sheds its hairs every time i use it and i have to be careful to pick them all off or i look like i have lots of random dark hairs sticking out of my face!

I did try one of my own big blusher brushes first of all, but the foundation stuck in one place and didnt go on too well. Would love to find a better application brush.

Ahh I see, well I hope some other geeks can help us!

Im not clued up with all mineral foundation companys. I use Bare Escentuals on myself and my clients. The difference with the mineral brushes to, for example 'a bog standard brush' is that they are designed to actually pick up the minerals. If the hairs on the brush are synthetic the minerals will pick up on the end then as soon as you go to buff, they fall off. Mineral brushes are normally made up of natural hairs. x

sure I kinda knew that, but thanks for the explanation. What I was wondering is if anyone has found this brush to buy at a local wholesalers or for instance a retail outlet apose to the company that sells the foundation. The ones on a particular site are about £15 whereas brushes from a wholesalers would be cheaper. Just thought somone might have bought one cheaper than £15? Thanks

Hi we use Crown brushes UK. They are more cost effective and do a great range. Haven't got the tel. number but they should be available on the web. hope this helps

no idea if this is what you're talking about as I'm not a skin geek, but I just bought this brush yesterday fron the Body Shop. I don't use foundation, just tinted moituriser, but it feels really nice!!
