I have a number of mirror shine powders however some just wipe off on application.

They all say to cure the top coat, wipe away stickiness and apply with an eye make up brush.

Some go on perfectly, others just wipe away.

I have the same powders as a friend and hers go on perfectly (although she uses a different top coat)

Any suggestions/ideas greatly welcome.

either use a non-wipe top coat or,
if your top coat is wipe off, then you need to wipe it with a CLEAN lint free wipe, no IPA, no acetone
have a search in this forum there are many threads about it

Definitely non-wipe top coat. With a wipe-off topcoat, it was hit and miss. and didn't last on clients.
