With caution i write this as i see there are lots of ppl getting upset about amatuer posters today!!

I am a student at hair and must say i find the site helps me so much, you guys really are a big help altho i am cautios as i do see some posts i even roll my eyes at!!

So just to check - a ratio of 1:1 would be for example 15ml color : 15ml developer.

think im getting the hang of this, there really is so much science involved ( i love science tho!!) thanks in advamce. xx

Hi-yes a 1:1 ratio is equal amounts x

Hi, don't worry - ask away!
Its a difficult one to answer as it depends on the product range and the colour desired within that range. normally it will give you instructions on the colour chart or why not ask a colleague or tutor about specific colour ranges. Sorry not to have been more help.:D

just seen another reply and realised I had misread the question. oops

Thanks for the reply guys,

Im trying to "Swat" up with some research. I love hair colouring and cant wait till we get onto it it truly fasinates me and i really want o embrace it in my career and understand it to the dot!!

If any one can recommend any book or other things that may help me on this section of th eindustry that would be fab.

Thanks Again. xx

it all depends on what product you are using .. some are 1:1 , some 1:2 , some even 1:1.5 , lol always check your manufacturers instruction for mixing guidelines x
