Hi, I was wondering if any experience d salon/business owners could advise me on ways to help fill my books up with clients. I've been mobile for just over 1 year now and I have nearly 7 years of nails behind me. But I've notice that the amount of client I have had plateaued and I'm struggling to gain any new ones. Should I look in to maybe offering a referral programme of some sort. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you offer party prices already?x

No as I work alone, think it'll be a bit boring for the people who aren't having their nails done just waiting around for me.

Have you spoken to your hairdresser to see if she would mind giving out your business cards to her clients?
Perhaps an evening walk to drop your cards in local houses...
Good luck

Yes, my hairdresser is also my best friend of 10 Yeats so she helps out as much as she can. And I have done door to door once every few months so it's not spam. And also I'm my work place. Can't seem to gain any more client though :(

I work alone too [emoji4]

Those attending are usually really happy to catch up, especially in the case of career women, it's a nice social event.

Depending on your setting, the organiser of the party often sets up some nibbles, if you have the space for that maybe you can suggest it to the person booking.

They are not essential, though it is a nice idea, especially if you think people could become bored as it may help set your mind at rest whilst you work.

You could price things up in a way that you provide nibbles, if that works for you.

When people arrive you can give them your nail swatches and explain options such as mix and matching designs, or optional matte topcoat etc, so whilst your busy with your ladies everyone is discussing and choosing colours as well as catching up.

Party prices are beneficial because you can set an attractive price to potential customers, put a minimum of 5 heads per booking or whatever you can handle, with each customer walking away with a gorgeous set of nails on, and your card.

You can also offer to book each customer in after their service for their follow up, depending on what they have had done.

This may be totally irrelevant for your setting, though worth a share and definitely worth a try if you'd like to boost clientele.

It may not bring anything in, though if you don't have a go, you don't know.

If you do have a go, non refundable deposit and cancellation policy essential.

That actually sounds like a great idea, maybe hire somewhere out as I'm mobile. And have it as sort of an event day. I would have never thought of this. Thank you so much! I'm going to get in touch with local places and see if I can get it sorted. Wow! Thanks x
