Could any of the mobile /home based techs/beauty therapists recommend a good skincare brand for facials. Had a good look round at Gmex but all the big companies want huge start up orders. I only anticipate doing the odd facial here and therefore I can't afford a massive investment but still want a quality product. Will be home based soon.

Which brands work for you? And what are the costs like?

I have just started using the susan moleneux range on myself and i think its great. i have bought some to use on my clients as well ( dont get many at the moment for facials) but i would recommend that product as it works for me and not really expensive hth

Part of being a good therapist / business person is being able to retail what you use on clients. Therefore if you want something that is a low start up and you can still retail, then why not look at offering something like Virgin Vie. Then if you feel you are doing well with your facials you could invest in a good professional brand.

Just for the record though, I use Nimue. Cost about £1500 start up. Free training and most of the products in the package are retail. It paid for itself within about 6 months or so, and I have a small home salon and don't do mega amounts of facials.

My mum uses Mary Kay cosmetics (No1 skin care range in the USA) I personally use it and when I've finished my training in facials I will be using it on my clients.

Nothing else will get a looking because I personally know from my own experience that this product works.

What about trying natures way skin products they are not very dear you can buy them at an reasonable price they have different kits starting from £110 and you buy these from their website www.bellitas.co.uk.
You also have these and retail them to your customers as well as using the products within the facial
i think they are excellent valvue for money and won't break your piggy bank and their product training is cheap asweell
