HI! So, after leaving a salon almost a year ago I have just been working mobile for side clients I had prior. I find with my downtime I could be making more money and wouldn't mind not having to lug heavy bags around all the time.
The main thing is I haven't been able to find a salon where I feel my style of nails fit, or they do not use proper products and cut corners around procedures that I believe truly make a difference.
So, what I would LOVE to do is be able to work in a situation where I'm still using all my own product, but unfortunately I live in NJ where the obvious booth rental is illegal. But are there other kinds of agreements that can be made with a salon that isn't technically booth rental?
Are there any other options I'm left with? I'd love to even own my own space, but don't know if a one woman nail studio is something that can actually work.
Hopefully someone has been through a similar situation, would love to hear some ideas!
