Moving to a new state, help

I am currently a hairstylist in MI, I have been licensed for 10 years now. But In the next 6 months or so I will be moving to TN.
Does any one know if the licensing process can be started before the big move? Or do I have to wait till I’m actually down there? A big move is anxiety filled enough. Just trying to get a head start on things. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
