Hi geeks

I'm from nail geeks, need a bit of advice on my hair colour.

I used to dye my hair brown, then I decided I wanted to go plum. I went to my salon to get it coloured. Although the colour caught on the roots it didn't catch on the ends, so I had plum on top n brown on ends. Then within 2 weeks my white roots were coming through.
I can't afford to have it topped up every 2 weeks at the salon, so I used my usual hair dye just for the roots.

Now my hair is like a multi coloured swap shop! It's plum on top with brown on roots.

I don't know what to do. I've heard you can have all the colour stripped back to your natural color, then have a one solid colour done. I also have a Brazilian keratin treatment in my hair because it's very fuzzy. So if I had this color stripping done it would have to be done before I have my next one right?

When I go to my salon what do I tell them? Any suggestion on products that will last a bit longer?

Thanks in advance!!

Every brazillian is different.

A lot of them now remove colour anyway so you may want to check with your hairdresser which one she uses.

The one I use I would do the treatment then colour straight away.

Best check with your hairdresser.

My hairdresser doesn't remove the colour just puts the keratin on.

I will most probably have the Brazilian done again after my color issues are sorted out.

Go to a different salon for your colour.

No competent colourist would have applied a plum colour all over your hair if you already had a darker brown colour growing out. It obviously wouldn't have taken evenly.

You're going to have to pay for a colour correction and it won't be cheap unless you can get it done on a Salon training night or at your local hairdressing college.

As I said you need to check with your stylist l. Sometimes the keratin effects the colour.

She did, although she said it might not catch on the ends.

Where can I get a colour correction done? Don't know any salons around where I live that I can go to. Was thinking of going to London maybe.

Can colour be stripped from hair?

I don't think the salon where I have my hair cut are great with colour, had a few people go their complaining.

Most salons should offer colour correction- id recommend going for a consultation with a few and getting an idea of how they would go about it.

By the sounds of it, it shouldn't be that complex but you want some who knows what their doing.

Alternative you could to an academy in London.

The goldwell academy offers colour correction, you have to be a model, but it is with experienced stylists and all supervised.
