Sorry for the silly question ladies , Im currently placing an order online for some nail supplies and have ordered some vinylux polishes along with all the other necessary bits but the scrub fresh seems to have been out of stock for a while - can I use the Mundo equivalent? I understand its preferred to use the same system throughout but was wandering if it had any over all effect? ( Should add I have ordered Kaeso as my manicure system)
Does the same also apply for varnish remover? the nourishing remover is also out of stock ?

Thanks in advance !

Are you looking on Sweet Squared? The 8oz is out of stock but they have the other sizes I think.

Hiya Ceiy , yeah I had a look through sweet squared but ive ordered the rest of my equipment from Ellisons , because of getting the Kaeso manicure bits was hoping to have it all from the same place if possible xx

If you check the ingredients, ScrubFresh is isopropyl alcohol, acetone, something to give the colour and something for the smell I think. I don't remember their names
Once that I was completely out of it I just used the clear ones I got from the drug store separately. Works just fine.

Thanks Asteropi . Its baffling isnt it . So im ok to wipe the nail bed down with normal polish remover and then use the same stuff to remove the polish when needed? ( I havent done this for a while - can you tell? )

Are we talking about normal polish or gel polish?

Just standard polish - im planning on vinylux but I also have a few OPI's x

Clean with normal polish remover
Clean the nail plate with clean acetone and Isopropyl alcohol
Apply polish

Repeat in next appointment

Vinylux is quite hardwearing, i use fast acting nail polish remover from salonserve it takes it off much quicker than normal polish remover but not as harsh as pure acetone. I use this before applying the polish too and never have any problems but i should think any nail polish remover would do the trick

Thanks Cassielewis - I was re going through my manicure manuals to see if I could find anything in there and all it mentions after finish a classic manicure is to thoroughly squeak the nail with non acetone nail polish remover before applying polish. Am I following that right ?

Also ( sorry another question !) lint free wipes... I understand how they are better than cotton wool pads but where can I get them from as I seem to be having trouble finding them on Ellisons !x

Yeah absolutely right :)
have a look at salon serve (theres salon services and salon serve incase you click wrong one) you can see there catalogue online or request to have one sent out to you but i think they are the most reasonable priced for things like nail wipes, orange wood sticks, wax strips, acetone etc. Really worth a look. The only thing i will buy from ellisons is PHD wax as i cant find it anywhere else. I try to avoid them as much as possible as had really bad experience with their customer service - so rude!

We use the mundo. It's just as good as Scrubfresh. Never had any issues and we've used both.
